Hero in Education Award
I am both proud and humbled to be honored with the American Red Cross Hero Award for my role as an Educator. In all modesty, this link is a video of a local TV interview that best explains my life and what I believe in most.

The book presentation/signing in Venice, Florida ended up being the same day as their community beach clean-up day, so attendance was not at its optimum. Those who were there were very attentive and then shared their own stories with me about the "hearts" of good people.
Family Reading Night at the middle school was a huge success and as a featured author, I was received in a room filled to capacity. Such a pleasure to share the story of kindness and remind each other that our daily deluge of negative news can be brightened by reminders of people caring about each other.
The Neighorhood Post insert of the Palm Beach Post newspaper featured a wonderful profile and article, Wednesday, December 19, 2007. Many thanks to Mimi for the fabulous coverage and pleasant interview.
January's edition of AROUND WELLINGTON magazine will have an interview featuring The Small Town with a Big Heart. Many thanks to Krista Martinelli, editor, for the pleasant interview and article.
More book presentations are scheduled for after the holidays. Stay tuned to the blog for times and locations.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading the article featuring The Small Town with a Big Heart in "Around Wellington" magazine. I am once again touched by your story and reflections. Jill - you are inspiration to all, and you touch the lives of everyone you meet in a very special way. Truly amazing.
